Roma Nima (b. 2000 in Ithaca, New York) is a New York and Paris based multimedia artist working
primarily in film and video art. Their films blend narrative and experimental fiction, relying on unusual soundscapes and unconventional storytelling through on location videography, computer graphics and animation, and a rigorous editing
process. In their films Roma explores themes of the human body, technology issues, Jewish folklore and industrialized
identity
to create immersive and often visceral explorations to heighten the viewer’s sensitivities. Roma received their BFA in Film Art from Emerson College and the Paris College of Art in 2023, studying in Paris, the Netherlands and Boston.
Their films have been selected in both national (USA) and international festivals and have received various festival awards.
